# Settings

> A tour of every Settings tab.

Open **Settings** from the account menu. Team-wide controls live on the [Teams](/web-app/teams) page.

## Profile

Display name (80 characters or fewer) and the sign-in method shown on the account. The avatar is generated from your account.

## Security

* **Linked identities.** Email addresses, Google, X. Add or disable; at least one stays active.
* **Two-factor authentication.** Scan the QR code or enter the setup key, then confirm with a six-digit code. Ten one-time recovery codes are shown once; save them. Disable with a current code or a recovery code; re-enrolling issues fresh codes.
* **Change password.** Needs the current password, plus an authenticator code when two-factor is on. Other sessions are signed out.
* **Active sessions.** Every signed-in browser, with device where known. Sign out any of them. Signing out this browser keeps its encrypted history on the device until you purge it from Storage.
* **OAuth and CLI tokens.** Connections approved for the Plugin and the `nito` command line tool. Revoke one to disconnect that tool.

## Billing

Plan, share of the monthly allowance remaining, reset date, and prepaid balance for API use, with actions to change plan or add funds. The full page is at app.trynito.ai/billing. See [Billing](/plans/billing).

## General

* **Default model.** What a new chat starts on.
* **Start new chats as incognito.**
* **Summary model.** Used by Summarize. On an Encrypted chat, **Current chat model** keeps the summary Encrypted.
* **Attachment parsing.** **Client**, **Server**, or **Auto**. Encrypted chats stay on Client unless you choose Server.
* **Web search by default** and **URL fetching by default** for new chats.
* **Privacy.** Warnings before opening an external link, before sending outside a private or Confidential route, and before a prompt may be screened by moderation. **Disable telemetry collection** stops anonymous usage analytics from this browser.
* **Chat behavior.** **Show message date**, **Enter submits chat**, **Arrow key navigation** through previous prompts, and **Enter after edit**.

## Storage

Encrypted backups, encrypted sync, browser storage, persistent storage, and **Purge chat data**. See [Backups and Sync](/web-app/backups-and-sync).

## Text

* **Custom instructions.** Persistent guidance added to every text chat from this browser. Nito's own routing, privacy, and tool instructions stay protected.
* **System prompt template.** The base prompt for new chats. Edit it, or **Restore default system prompt**.

## Intelligence

The add-ons that shape a request, each shown with its plan requirement: **Prompts**, **Knowledge**, **Personas**, and **Preview Context** ([Workbench](/web-app/workbench)); **Memory** ([Memory](/web-app/memory)); Nito Auto and prompt enhancement toggles.

## Language

The header selector switches the interface between English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, and Arabic.

**Help** in the account menu opens an in-app guide and links to these docs. **Replay onboarding** restarts the first-run flow, also at [app.trynito.ai/?tour=1](https://app.trynito.ai/?tour=1).
