gpt-4o, gpt-4o-mini, and similar strings are OpenAI catalog names. Nito does not have them. The catalog is discovered at runtime and changes as models are added and retired, so fetch it and select by capability rather than hard-coding a name.

ID Shape

The base is the catalog ID, for example moonshotai/kimi-k3 or z-ai/glm-5.2. :confidential selects the attested variant, published as its own catalog entry only for models with an attested build (openai/gpt-5.5 has none; z-ai/glm-5.2:confidential is listed). :encrypted selects the Encrypted level and needs the Encrypted headers. Any other suffix is rejected. OpenAI’s current models appear under the openai/ vendor: openai/gpt-5.5, openai/gpt-5.4-mini. See the Model List.

Migration

  1. List the OpenAI names your code uses.
  2. Call GET /v1/models and note the IDs that match each capability.
  3. Replace each name with the chosen ID, or select from the catalog at runtime.
  4. For attested hardware, pick an ID ending in :confidential.
