Type a Nito command and one call goes to Nito. Type anything else and your session behaves exactly as it always has.

The Pieces

  • The plugin. Enables Nito commands in Claude Code or Codex.
  • The nito command line tool. Handles file attachments and Nito sessions. You install it once; it then installs the plugin for you.

What Happens When You Type a Command

  1. You type a Nito command in your session (for example /nito:private <prompt> in Claude Code)
  2. The plugin routes that command through Nito to the chosen model
  3. The response returns in your session

What Happens When You Don’t Call Nito

Ordinary messages to Claude Code or Codex behave exactly as they always have. Same model, same tools, same settings. Nothing routes through Nito unless you run a Nito command.
