Do I type Nito commands in my terminal or inside the chat? Inside a running Claude Code or Codex session, not your terminal. The exception is thenito command line tool, which is the terminal.
Does using the plugin send my question to Anthropic or OpenAI?
It depends on the command. A plain ask is an ordinary turn in your chat, so it travels upstream with the rest of your conversation. private does not: the prompt and the response stay out of what your harness sends. See Privacy.
Does choosing a model change my Claude or Codex model?
No. It changes what Nito uses for its own commands. Inside a full Nito session, your harness’s own model picker changes the session. See Models and Fusion.
Is the plugin free?
Free accounts get 10 asks or private questions a month. Fusion and full sessions need a paid plan. See Plans and usage.
